The World Bank Group is the largest financier of education in the developing world, working in 94 countries and committed to helping them reach SDG4: access to inclusive and equitable quality education and lifelong learning opportunities for all by 2030.
In partnership with Inspiring Teachers, Rumsey Films planned, shot and edited a 23 part video series to be used as an educational resource for teacher training programs in East Africa.
The series is made up of 12 modules, each with a ‘Preparation’ and a ‘Demonstration’ film. The preparation film introduces a concept and gives step by step instructions. This is followed by the demonstration film which shows a real life example of the teaching technique, with clear illustrative graphics.Â
The format of the video series was designed to work in tandem with the existing resources that formed the foundational teaching skills program.Â
Rumsey Films, Inspiring Teachers and The World Bank worked together to produce this series, filming across two weeks in 8 schools in Uganda.
